Westmount Transportation Update

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Thank you again for your support and patience as we continue to plan for the temporary relocation of Westmount students to George Hilliard Elementary, Kay Bingham Elementary, and Parkcrest Elementary schools.

We have developed a plan for busing students to these locations which will be determined by the area you live in. Due to the limited availability of relief bus drivers, the school buses that are transporting Westmount students will be picking up students in the morning later and dropping off students in the afternoon earlier. This is because these bus drivers have to complete their regularly scheduled routes. As a result, the school day start time will be later than usual and the end time earlier than usual. Below is approximately the beginning and end times for each school location in relation to their bus drop off and pick up times:

• George Hilliard (Mr. Bigham/Mr. Caputo/Mrs. Hansen): Buses will drop off at 8:35am and buses will pick up at 1:55pm.
• Kay Bingham (Ms. Evans/Mrs. Bregoliss/Ms. Torchia/Mrs. Caputo/Mrs. Zirnhelt): Buses will drop off at 8:45am and buses will pick up at 2:05pm
• Parkcrest (Mrs. Ruddick/Ms. Gibbard/Mrs Wilsher/Miss Miller): Buses will drop off at 8:55am and buses will pick up at 2:15pm

For students and families in Batchelor Heights, two school buses (A8733 and A9734) will use existing city bus stops as pick up points. Those bus stops and pick up and drop off times can be found here. You can also view maps for bus A8733 here and bus A9734 here.

We will have a bus that picks up students at Westmount Elementary School (20731) in the lower parking lot and another bus that will pick up at Westmount Park on Collingwood Drive (26735). Students who live in the following areas will be taking bus 20731 at the Westmount Elementary School pick up and drop off spot:

• Driftwood Place
• Baywood Crescent
• Sheridan Drive
• Lynnwood Avenue
• Dickinson Road
• Addresses 1835 to 1990 Westsyde Rd
• Addresses 324 to 496 Collingwood Drive

Students who live in the following areas will be taking bus 26735 at the Westmount Park on Collingwood Drive pick up and drop off spot:

• Westmount Drive
• Montrose Crescent
• Wedgewood Crescent
• Westlynn Drive
• Venables Place
• Addresses 502 to 700 Collingwood Drive

We will have a familiar adult at both Westmount school and at Westmount Park because these students have not had routine experience taking the bus to and from school. This person will also take the bus with the students to their schools and ride back with them after school until students are well adjusted to the routine.

Teachers will be there to greet students at their receiving schools each morning and send them off each day.

We are looking forward to having your children in our presence again and will do our best to ensure that they are supported and cared for during this transition.
