Hi Parents,

I hope your weekend has been great! Please find below the reminders for this coming week and a glance at the following week as well.

*Please note that future PAC POPCORN DATES are: Feb. 8, Feb.22 and March 8

This week is UNPLUG AND PLAY WEEK! Many classes are competing in the challenge to see if they can play, read or do board games rather than be in front a screen!

It is LITERACY WEEK at Westmount and in the entire district! Make reading a priority this week.

VIRTUE OF THE WEEK: TACT

FSA's continue for Gr. 4 and 7 students. Please ensure they are in attendance. Students who are absent and miss exams are expected to write them upon their return.

Your children will begin to work on their SPRING ART CARD! Consider purchasing the cards they create when the order forms come home at a later date.

Monday Jan. 23- Drop Everything and Read Event 1:00, Skating: Ewashina and Torchia's classes

Tuesday Jan. 24- READ MY SHIRT DAY! Wear a shirt with lots of words on it! Tier 1 Boys at home vs. Dufferin. Tier 2 Boys travel to Logan Lake with Coach Angela and teacher sponsor. They will leave around 1:20 and will be home closer to 5:30. THEY ARE TRAVELING BY BUS.

Wed. Jan. 25- READING ROCKS SO WEAR FUNKY SOCKS DAY! Also, it is OPPOSITE DAY! Get in the spirit- wear two different shoes, wear your shirt opposite direction! It is ICECREAM DAY! We will eat it with a fork! Forgot to order? Send $1.00 and I will have a few extras on hand to purchase. Fruit and Veggie program also is delivered today! Healthy snack for all!

Thurs. Jan. 26- BEST OF THE BOOKMARKS event! Every child will make a new bookmark which will be placed in the library for all to choose from.

MUG AND MUFFIN MORNING! Please join us with your child for a hot chocolate and a muffin and a tour of their desk and classroom. Gymnastics today for: Edstrom, Zirnhelt, Regan and Ewashina's classes. Tier 1 Girls play at home vs. Aberdeen and Tier 2 Girls travel to St. Ann's.

*LAST DAY TO BRING BOOKS IN FOR THE HEAP THE HONDA EVENT!

Fri. Jan. 27- PJ READ A THON DAY FOR PRIMARY STUDENTS! Primaries wear pajamas.

Everyone else can wear blue or WOLFPACK ATTIRE! PAC TIM HORTON'S LUNCH DAY! Thank you PAC! This means we will be eating at 12:01, then playing.

PAC MOVIE NIGHT- STORKS- Doors open at 6:30- Movie at 7 pm. Great concession. Parents you must attend with your children.

Our new HOWL OUT GOAL is to get to 1200 because we have 12 Divisions!

PARENTS- JOIN US from 5-8 pm for the MINISTRY CONSULTATION MEETING at the HGEC

Tues. Jan. 31- JANUARY RECOGNITION ASSEMBLY 8:45 am

Tier 1 Boys play at home vs. LGES, Tier 2 Boys travel to Beattie

Thurs. Feb. 2- Tier 1 Girls at RLC, Tier 2 Girls at home vs. Beattie

Fri. Feb. 3- PAC HOT DOG DAY! Westmount Rotary SPEECH CONTEST! Will choose our winner to attend the Zones!
