VIRTUE OF THE WEEK: COMPASSION
*ON THURSDAY FOR THE REMEMBRANCE DAY ASSEMBLY I will be asking ALL STUDENTS to WEAR RED please. Also, after announcements on Monday I would like to meet with any children that can wear their uniform for Sparks, Guides, Brownies, Cubs, Scouts and Cadets on Thursday to our Remembrance Day Assembly. Please speak to your child about wearing their uniform and being in our Color Guard as the Canadian Flag enters.
*Attached is an invitation for parents from the Ministry of Education to meet January 30th 5-8 pm at the HGEC to provide feedback on report cards. Please SAVE THE DATE and join us.
*FRESHGRADE UPDATE: Many of our teachers are working through the FreshGrade set up at this time and many are sending you requests to access information regarding your child. Could I please ask that parents make this a priority to accept the invitations so that the teachers can move forward with the process. Thank you! You will enjoy getting updates from the classroom teacher and seeing photos soon!
RETURN PIZZA with the PRINCIPAL forms! Copies can be picked at the office from Mrs. Connelly- just have your child stop by and get one!
PAC UPDATE: Thanks to Christine Raymer and Christein Paradis for the huge success of the Christmas Bazaar held this Saturday in the gym. Thank you for organizing this community event and fundraiser. Thanks to all the families that supported this as well and our Leadership students.
PAC MEETING Monday November 7 at 6:15. Please join us as there will be two presentations from LDP Candidates Ms. Jen Boyle and Mrs. Kim Edstrom on the ReDesigned Curriculum and also the School District's Strategic Plan. Childminding is always available and we love to see new faces each month so please don't be shy and come hear about our school.

On Monday Nov. 7- Parents of our Kindergarten Students will get their YOU CAN COUNT ON ME RSVP and invitation to the Math Morning with their child. Parents please rsvp by Nov. 17
On Tuesday Nov. 8- Kindergarten students receive their VISION SCREENING testing. Please ensure your Kindergarten student is in attendance.
Tier 1 Boys Volleyball team is at HOME this week! Good luck to the boys and Coach Brad Watson.
Thursday Nov. 10 is our Remembrance Day Assembly at 9 am. Those students that do not celebrate this assembly will be provided an alternate activity for the duration of the time we are in the gym.
Tier 1 Girls Volleyball team travel to ASES and Tier 2 Girls travel to South Sahali on Thursday.
THERE IS NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS ON FRIDAY NOVEMBER 11. Westmount is closed for Remembrance Day.
On Monday November 14 the entire school will be doing a BIG BUDDY activity called 'COLLABORATION CIRCLES' that is part of our PBIS and VIRTUES initiatives.
Please just a reminder to those parents that have not paid their ART STARTS PERFORMING ARTS FEES ($15.00) Please do so immediately as we have our second performance on Monday Nov. 21 "Story Theatre- Rhyme, Reason and Rascals"
Parents if you would like to attend an INTERNET SAFETY Parent Information Night- this is being held at BEATTIE ELEMENTARY Thurs. Nov. 17 from 7-8 pm. Please call Beattie Elem and RSVP.
